Cross Country Equestrian (CCE) is a brand new equestrian sport based around a cross-country jumping competition, that rewards a well developed partnership between horse and rider.

The competitor rides a course of obstacles, scoring points for successfully jumping and incurring penalties for errors and exceeding the course time. CCE is a completely objectively scored equestrian sport.

Attend this CCE demo at Crossgate Equestrian Center to learn more about this sport. Nick Larkin will present a briefing to familiarize the demo riders with the course, then each demo rider will negotiate a short course that demonstrates the different types of CCE obstacles.

Nick Larkin is available for lessons while he is in Texas for the CCE Demo at Crossgate Equestrian Center. Note that lessons are separate from the CCE Demo, and available to all.

Cost is $120 for 45-minute private lessons. Longer semi-private and small group lessons are also available for the same cost per rider. Payment is due on-site.

About Nick Larkin
About Nick Larkin
Nick’s primary equestrian accomplishments are winning the inaugural Adelaide International (3*/1997) and Rolex Kentucky (4*/1998) 3DEs and riding for the New Zealand Eventing Team in Australia and Italy. In 1999 he moved permanently to the US, locating in Georgia, North Carolina and finally Kentucky where he focused on racing and steeplechasing with his wife Jeannie. He maintained involvement in equestrian sport through teaching, eventually returning to competitive riding and bringing a home-bred to Advanced level.
Nick and Jeannie live in Lexington Kentucky at Wainui Farm with a barn full of horses, competing several in various disciplines. They are strong and passionate advocates for horses and OTTBs in particular and proponents for the advancement of skilled and ethical training and horsemanship, upon which the future of all equestrian sports rely.
